Packaging innovation is shifting from "materials" to "structures", and research and development must possess a systematic mindset.

The current innovation in the packaging industry is undergoing a profound transformation from a single "material innovation" to a systematic "structural innovation". HuleadPack believes that in the future packaging product research and development, one must go beyond the extreme pursuit of the performance of materials themselves and more consider how to use structural design to enable materials to play a revolutionary role in the packaging system.

Paper corner guard development direction: From "reinforcement components" to "structural components" that can be interlocked and have multiple functions

In the past, the focus of research might have been on how to make the paper corner guards harder and the stretch film more resilient. This was undoubtedly important, but it was no longer the only path. The current research direction of HuleadPack is to make the paper corner guards not merely a "reinforcement component", but a "structural component". For example, developing special-shaped corner guards that can interlock with corrugated cardboard or honeycomb panels and use locking mechanisms, to jointly form a detachable and reusable enclosure box without the need for glue; developing corner guards with hollow or special cavity structures, ensuring strength while further reducing weight, and even integrating additional functions such as cushioning and moisture-proofing.

Stretch film research concept: Shift from "film performance" to "packaging structure efficiency", optimize winding mode and composite functions

For stretch films, the research concept has also shifted from "film performance" to "packaging structure efficiency". Research the mechanical relationship between different winding modes (such as spiral, segmented, top covering) and different cargo stacking shapes, and develop intelligent algorithms that can guide customers to reduce film usage by optimizing winding methods. Even explore integrated composite structures such as stretch films with lightweight protective nets and labels, to achieve multiple purposes such as fixation, protection, and marking in a single operation.

The goal is to provide the optimal "packaging structure system", which will be the main battlefield for future innovation.

This shift from "materials" to "structures" requires researchers to possess interdisciplinary knowledge and systematic thinking. HuleadPack's research and development team is strengthening cooperation with universities and design institutions, using simulation software to simulate the stress of packaging system in the logistics environment, so as to reverse design the optimal material structure. Their goal is to provide customers with a packaging structure system that has been precisely calculated, with the least material consumption but the highest protection efficiency. This will be the main battlefield for innovation in the packaging industry in the future, and it is also the core for HuleadPack to build a long-term technological barrier.
